A Brief Introduction
Walker Jermaine Jackson is an extremely versatile tenor, musician, and conductor living in New York City. Hailed for his “impeccable musicality” and “generously-sized voice,” he has performed throughout North America and Europe in an array of roles, both leading and secondary. A lover of all opera, he has a particular specialty and love of late 19th and 20th century works. His professional choral singing has gifted him the opportunity to work with countless leading conductors throughout the world. He is also a versatile singer, who crosses over into jazz and musical theater/cabaret styles, as well.
Also a pianist of more than 20 years, Walker Jermaine is also a music director and conductor specializing in vocal works – opera, musical theater, oratorio, sacred, and crossover work. He has been served as a Conductor, Assistant Conductor, and Chorus Master for a few opera companies, a Music Director for an Off-Broadway Show and a prominent Children’s Theater Company, a Cocktail Pianist/Singer at a few NYC piano bars, and a Director of Music at a historic church.
Continuing his love of the human voice, Walker Jermaine is also known as a collaborative pianist for singers and a vocal coach. He has been seen performing in recitals and competition with various singers. In addition to collaborating, he maintains an active vocal coaching studio in NYC, where he specializes in teaching all styles.
